Cook wanted: Auckland
We are an Auckland based company. We are looking for multiple Cooks to join us. This is a full time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The main duty of this role is to prepare, season and cook to a high standard to support our business.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- examining food ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure quality and freshness
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, woks and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food in accordance with menu requirements
- seasoning food during preparation and cooking
- portioning food, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies and garnishes
- storing food in temperature-controlled facilities and maintaining food quality
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements where required
- assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Good work attitude and good communication skills
- Strong motivation
- Physical fitness and could handle the heavy workload
- Quality workmanship and eye for detail
- Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.
- Strong ability to work independently
