●        Location: Auckland

●        Job type: Full-time Permanent

●        Number of positions for this job: up to 1

●        Pay rate: from $26-$35 per hour

●        Days required: 5-6 days/week

●        Hours per week: min 30, max 50 hours per week

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

·         Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, sponges, and baked products in accordance with standard recipes and production requirements

·         Prepare and assemble specialty cakes such as mille crepe cakes and portion cakes, including precise layering, filling, cutting, and presentation to ensure consistent product quality and visual standards

·         Design and apply cake decorations, including cream finishing, piping, fondant work, and themed/custom cake decoration

·         Produce high-quality cake finishes, ensuring consistency in presentation, texture, and taste

·         Prepare and mix ingredients, including batters, fillings, and icings, following established methods and portion controls

·         Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and decorating tools in a safe and efficient manner

·         Monitor baking processes, adjusting temperature and timing to achieve optimal results

·         Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations in compliance with food safety regulations

·         Manage stock levels of ingredients and report shortages or quality issues as required

·         Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and custom order deadlines

 

Job Requirement

●         At least two-years relevant prior experience or substitute with a formal qualification

●         A “can-do” attitude

●         Have an eye on details

●         Self-motivated

●         Clean non-criminal record
