HAPPY J’S LIMITED operates a busy restaurant in Māngere Bridge, Auckland. We are committed to delivering high-quality food and maintaining excellent standards in food safety, preparation, and customer service.

We are seeking 2 experienced Cooks to support the daily operation of our kitchen. 

Key Duties:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements
  • Seasoning food during cooking and portioning meals appropriately
  • Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
  • Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
  • Maintaining hygiene and complying with food safety standards
  • Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment

 Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, OR
  • A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or overseas equivalent)
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
