HAPPY J’S LIMITED operates a busy restaurant in Māngere Bridge, Auckland. We are committed to delivering high-quality food and maintaining excellent standards in food safety, preparation, and customer service.
We are seeking 2 experienced Cooks to support the daily operation of our kitchen.
Key Duties:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements
- Seasoning food during cooking and portioning meals appropriately
- Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Maintaining hygiene and complying with food safety standards
- Assisting with menu planning and estimating food requirements
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, OR
- A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or overseas equivalent)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Good teamwork and communication skills
