Exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team

Description

Nawaz Properties Limited is a Wellington-based property business with an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week guaranteed.

The role:

Your tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Processing payroll
  • Following up outstanding payments and assisting with credit control
  • Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Assisting with statutory returns, tax, GST, and PAYE obligations
  • Process invoices and expense claims
  • Providing administrative support and other ad hoc office tasks as required

About you:

  • Have a diploma in finance or business or a bachelor’s degree in any field, or has at least 2 years’ relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, and administrative work
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel
  • High attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
  • A positive, happy demeanour with a can do attitude
