The Cafe Worker is responsible for providing quality food and beverage service to customers in a cafe environment. The role involves customer service, basic food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting overall cafe operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food and beverages items according to company standards.
  • Take customer orders and communicate them effectively to kitchen staff where required
  • Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems
  • Clear tables by removing used dishes, glasses, and cutlery after customer use
  • Clean and reset tables to maintain a tidy and welcoming environment
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety procedures
  • Clean and maintain café equipment including coffee machines, grinders, and other appliances
  • Assist with stock control, including participating in stocktakes and storing delivered goods appropriately
  • Provide support to other team members to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Follow all workplace health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Must have level 1 or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
