MISSION 2022 LIMITED, trading as Belly-Worship, is an Asian-fusion restaurant based in Mission Bay, Auckland, offering a creative reinterpretation of traditional Asian cuisine. We are looking for a full-time Duty Manager to join our team. As a Duty Manager with our company, you will be working a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be responsible for:

Job task:

• Plan menus in consultation with the chef, ensuring they cater to customer preferences, seasonal availability, and cost control, with a focus on popular Asian-style dishes and beverages.

• Organize and coordinate special promotions or themed events (e.g., holiday sets, member discounts, cultural food days) to attract customers and boost sales.

• Arrange purchasing and pricing of ingredients, beverages, and supplies within the set budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.

• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, supplier orders, and financial transactions to support smooth day-to-day operations and effective inventory control.

• Ensure that the café’s dining area, kitchen, and food preparation zones meet hygiene and health regulations, and that the venue remains clean, functional, and presentable.

• Interact with customers to gather feedback, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of satisfaction with food and service.

• Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising front-of-house and kitchen staff, ensuring excellent teamwork, service standards, and performance.

• During peak hours, assist with daily service tasks such as taking reservations, greeting guests, taking orders, and supporting the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Any other relevant duties assigned by the employer

 

To fit the position, you are required to have:

  • At least two years of relevant work experience, or
  • A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or higher. No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the team
