Role Overview
Mountain Masala, Warkworth is seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team at our Warkworth location. We are now a fully licensed venue and hence require a manager full-time.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 45 hours per week. This position requires flexibility to work on weekends.
Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the establishment.
Tasks include:
- Work with the Chefs to design exciting menus and plan special events that bring in more customers.
- Handle all ordering and pricing to stay within budget. Keep sharp records of what’s in stock.
- Ordering for the bar & restaurant
- Keep the restaurant and bar spotless and safe, making sure everything follows health codes and looks top-tier.
- Talk to guests to make sure they’re happy. If there’s a problem, fix it fast to keep our reputation strong.
- Hire, train, and lead the kitchen and front-of-house teams so everyone works well together.
- Manage bookings, welcome guests, and jump in to take orders when the floor gets busy.
- Lead shifts and support the cross all areas
- Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of draft lines, espresso machines, and glassware washers.
- Creating great experiences for members and guests
Qualifications & Experience
- A valid NZ General Manager’s Cert and LCQ Certificate is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in restaurant management role within the hospitality sector.
