Restaurant Manager

Ima Cuisine is one of the busiest and well-established restaurants in Auckland, proudly serving food lovers for over 20 years. We are known for our unique Mediterranean cuisine, high-quality standards, and loyal customer base.

Our restaurant can seat around 100 dine-in patrons, alongside offering takeaway and delivery services. We operate 7 days a week and maintain a very high standard of food and service quality. We are also a licensed premises, serving alcohol, and require strong compliance with all relevant regulations.

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Restaurant Manager to take ownership of the smooth running of the restaurant during daytime operations. This role is Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed.


Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will report directly to the restaurant owners and will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including managing bookings and coordinating takeaway and delivery orders.
  2. Overseeing stock levels, ordering supplies, and liaising with suppliers.
  3. Maintaining records and documentation for accounting purposes.
  4. Ensuring the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations and maintains a clean, professional, and high-quality environment.
  5. Supervising staff and ensuring strong teamwork during service.
  6. Engaging with customers and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  7. Managing staff rosters, attendance, and leave requests.
  8. Supporting marketing and promotional activities where required.

Requirements

The applicant:

  1. Must have at least 1 year of previous work experience in a similar-sized restaurant with complex operations.
  2. Must understand what it takes to manage a high-volume, high-quality restaurant with strong customer loyalty and growth potential.
  3. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to take full responsibility for running the restaurant during daytime hours.
  4. Should be a strong team player with good communication skills.
  5. Should have basic knowledge of MS Office programs.
