Are ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Restaurant Manager for our restaurant in the heart of Napier. Our establishment boasts a welcoming atmosphere, a bar, and a seating capacity of 60, catering to both casual diners and special events. 30 hours guaranteed work each week, potential for more. Pay will reflect the applicant’s skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

·     Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and bar

·       Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house staff

·       Maintain high standards of customer service and food quality

·       Manage reservations and optimize table turnover for a 60-seat dining area

·       Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure authentic and timely service

·       Manage inventory and supplies, and manage vendor relationships

·       Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve complaints promptly

·       Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations

·       Plan and implement marketing strategies and promotions

·       Assist in event and function planning, including catering services

·       Manage budgets, financial records, and report on restaurant performance.

 

Requirements

·       Relevant qualifications or relevant work experience of min. 2 years are preferred

·       Strong leadership and team management skills

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to communicate in any commonly spoken Indian language (e.g., Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati) would be an advantage due to our client base.

·       Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts

·       Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and liquor licensing laws

·       Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
