A & T (NZ) Limited currently seeking experienced Chinese Cuisine Cooks to join our teams in Dunedin and Christchurch. The role involves preparing and cooking Chinese-style meals in both dine-in and takeaway settings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking a range of Chinese-style dishes, including stir-fry, fried rice, noodle dishes, and takeaway meals
  • Ensuring food is prepared to a consistent standard in terms of taste and presentation
  • Preparing ingredients such as meats, vegetables, and sauces
  • Assisting with menu items suitable for takeaway and fast service
  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Working efficiently under pressure during busy service periods

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chinese Cuisine Cook
  • Familiarity with Chinese cooking techniques and high-volume kitchen operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and time management skills
  • Reliable and able to work flexible hours

Additional Information:

  • Positions are available in both Dunedin and Christchurch
