Sterilisation Services Manager (CSSD),

About the role

This is a genuine step into management for an experienced CSSD technician ready to take the next move. You will lead a small, close-knit sterilisation team at a modern private day surgery, handling two operating theatres and a procedure room. It is a hands-on role, so you will stay close to the work, not just manage from a distance.

The position is advertised as part-time (minimum 48 hours per fortnight), but full-time hours are available if that suits you better. Monday to Friday only, no public holidays, and the hospital closes over the Christmas and New Year period.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day CSSD operations including cleaning and sterilisation services
• Ensure compliance with AS 5369:2023 and NSQHS Standard 3 (Preventing and Controlling Infections)
• Complete daily equipment checks and maintain accurate usage records
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required
• Drive quality improvement activities within the department

About you

• Cert III or Cert IV in Sterilising Services
• Solid hands-on CSSD experience and ready to step into a leadership position
• Strong knowledge of sterilisation procedures, infection control, and relevant Australian standards
• Organised, communicative, and comfortable running a small team
