Monday to Friday. No weekends on your roster. In aged care clinical leadership, that is not the norm. This one is.

 

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Lead to take ownership of the clinical floor in a medium-sized Auckland facility providing rest home and dementia-level care.

 

The team is in place. The expectations are clear. What is missing is the right person to lead it.

 

This is not a mentored step-up role. You need to have been here before. We want someone who walks in confident, earns trust quickly, and raises the standard around them.

 

You will be the right fit if you have:

  • A current NZ practising certificate as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Clinical Lead in New Zealand aged care, specifically within rest home and/or dementia settings
  • A track record of running external audits without flinching
  • The communication skills to hold difficult conversations with families, staff and management when needed
  • Comfort with shared on-call, and the flexibility to step in on a weekend when the facility genuinely needs it

 

Day to day, you will be:

Leading clinical practice across the facility, mentoring and developing your nursing team, overseeing care delivery for your resident cohort, managing clinical risk and measuring outcomes, and acting as the primary clinical contact for families and external stakeholders.

 

What is on offer:

Approx $105,000 per annum, negotiable for a candidate with strong, demonstrable experience.

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.

Shared on-call.
