About the Role

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout (Endoscopy) to join a well established perioperative and endoscopy service in Adelaide.

This role is ideal for a Scrub Scout nurse with operating theatre or endoscopy experience who is seeking a structured weekday roster without nights, weekends or public holidays.

You will work as part of a skilled operating theatre and endoscopy team, supporting procedural lists while delivering safe, efficient and patient centred care.

This position offers an excellent work life balance with a full time Monday to Friday roster, allowing you to maintain your theatre skills in a well organised clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Scrub Scout duties within endoscopy and procedural lists
• Work closely with gastroenterologists, surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre staff
• Prepare procedure rooms, instruments and endoscopy equipment prior to cases
• Maintain sterile field and strict infection control standards
• Anticipate procedural requirements and support smooth surgical workflow
• Monitor patient safety throughout the perioperative and recovery stages
• Maintain clear communication with the multidisciplinary theatre team
• Contribute to safe, efficient and well run procedural lists

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years Scrub Scout and/or Endoscopy experience in a perioperative environment
• Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within an operating theatre setting
• Calm, organised approach in busy procedural environments
• Commitment to high standards of patient safety and clinical care
• Full working rights in Australia (essential requirement)
