Eden Alley is a well-established hospitality venue located in central Christchurch, offering high-quality café-style food and beverages alongside our Korean-inspired menu. We are committed to excellent customer service, consistency, and a welcoming dining environment.

Due to continued growth within the business – we are seeking an experienced Café Worker to join our team in Christchurch.

We offer permanent, full-time employment, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, with typical hours ranging between 30~40.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve café-style food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light meals
Operate coffee machines and maintain consistency in beverage quality
Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and handling payments
 Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, including front-of-house and service areas
 Ensure all food handling complies with NZ food safety standards and Food Control Plan requirements
 Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
 Set up and close the café, including cash handling and reconciliation

 Work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining quality and accuracy
 Support team members and contribute to a positive working environment

 

About You (Essential Requirements)
 At least 5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry, including a minimum of 2 years working specifically in a café environment (mandatory)
 Proven experience in coffee preparation and café operations
 Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy setting
 Good organisational skills and attention to detail
 Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
 Able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week on a permanent basis
