Only ur’s Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Indian restaurant in Christchurch. This role requires strong leadership, organisational capability, and a customer-focused approach to ensure high service standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with chefs to design and update menus that reflect customer preferences and business goals
  • Organise and manage events, catering services, and special functions
  • Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, pricing, and cost control in line with budget requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate financial and operational records
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and professional environment
  • Engage with customers to obtain feedback and ensure a high level of satisfaction with food and service
  • Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain service quality and efficiency
  • Manage reservations, welcome guests, and support service staff during busy periods

Employment Details

  • Hours: Minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Between 12:00 PM and 10:00 PM (7 days rostered shifts)
  • Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Location: Christchurch

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, OR
  • A New Zealand Register Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field
