Motel Manager

Eden H LTD , located in Auckland, provides clean and comfortable motel accommodation with genuine Kiwi hospitality to both business and leisure travellers. We are currently seeking a dedicated Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our motel and ensure an excellent guest experience.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing daily motel operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
  • Inspecting facilities regularly and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Managing customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensuring all areas, including front of house, guest rooms, and back-of-house operations, meet quality standards
  • Monitoring sales performance, controlling costs, and analysing financial reports
  • Managing budgets and supporting business profitability
  • Supervising cleaning, maintenance staff, and external contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
  • Coordinating maintenance and upkeep of the property and grounds

What we’re looking for:

  • Diploma in hospitality or management, OR a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline OR at least 2 years of relevant management experience
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage operations independently
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Good understanding of basic property maintenance and upkeep
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a small team environment
  • Additional language skills are an advantage

Role Details:

  • Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
  • Location: 31 Awapuni Road, Awapuni, Gisborne
  • Minimum Guaranteed Hours: At least 30 hours per week (up to 45 hours)
  • Pay Rate: $29.00 – $33.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
