Work Location: Otago

Employment type: Full time (30 hours / per week, rostering from Monday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay: $29.66-$33.00 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Otago.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years' relevant work experience in the same field or industry.

You are required to:

·      Responsible for cooking meals

·      Maintain high quality food presentation and service standards

·      Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene

·      Ensure that each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation

·      Cleaning of kitchen appliances, equipment and utensils as required

·      Assist with stock control in the kitchen

·      Prepare lists of stock required for purchase on a regular basis and as required

·      Follow correct procedures in all aspects of food handling and management

·      Maintain the menu and work to create ideas to improve and enhance the menu

·      Providing training and assistance to other staff in the kitchen

·      Hygiene standard and Health and Safety maintenance

·      Be aware at all times of steps and measures to improve profitability, efficiency and speed of service
