We are currently seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and client-focused Hair and Scalp Treatment Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of health, hygiene, and scalp care who is dedicated to delivering exceptional treatment experiences in a professional salon environment.
You will be expected to work at our Newmarket store, a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 50 hours per week, and you may also be required to perform at the weekend as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $26-$32 based on the candidates' experience and skills.
Job Description for This Position

Conduct detailed client consultations to assess scalp condition, hair health, and overall skin characteristics, and recommend appropriate treatments and products.

Perform specialised scalp and hair treatments, including deep cleansing, conditioning, and therapeutic scalp care to improve scalp health and hair quality.

Provide facial and upper head/neck massage treatments as part of scalp therapy services to promote circulation, relaxation, and wellbeing.

Evaluate scalp and hair conditions before and after treatments to ensure effectiveness and adjust treatment plans where necessary.

Advise clients on appropriate hair and scalp care routines, hygiene practices, and suitable cosmetic and treatment products.

Apply selected treatment products safely and effectively, ensuring proper techniques and adherence to hygiene standards.

Maintain accurate client records, including consultation notes, treatment plans, and progress tracking.

Manage bookings, arrange appointments, and provide professional customer service throughout the client journey.

Promote and sell suitable hair care and scalp treatment products based on individual client needs.

Maintain a clean, sanitised, and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Requirements for Successful Applicant

A relevant qualification at Level 4 or above in health science, nursing, beauty therapy, or a related field, OR at least two years of relevant experience.
