We are looking for one experienced and motivated Motel Manager to lead our daily operations at Alpine-Pacific Motels & Holiday Park, a 4+ star rated holiday park located on Beach Road in beautiful Kaikoura.
This is a full-time and permanent position.
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.
You will need to work according to the roster, including weekends and public holidays, so availability during these times is essential.
Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

Managing daily front office and reception operations, including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, guest inquiries, and after-hours phone or email communication

Overseeing housekeeping teams and room presentation standards across motels, ensuite cabins, standard cabins, and shared facilities such as kitchens, laundry, and bathrooms

Supervising garden and property maintenance, including park-like grounds, trampoline, BBQ areas, high-pressure showers, hot pools, heated swimming pool, and off-street parking

Planning and overseeing BBQ area bookings and any guest-requested group gatherings or small functions

Ensuring compliance with New Zealand health and safety laws, campground regulations, and child safety standards for pools and trampolines

Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction by collecting feedback via the front desk, TripAdvisor, and Facebook, and acting on the park’s refund promise

Overseeing accounting and purchasing activities, including daily income from accommodation, tour bookings, and laundry, plus purchasing of cleaning supplies, maintenance items, and guest consumables

Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations through regular safety checks on high-pressure showers, pools, kitchen, trampoline, and maintaining first aid and emergency procedures

Providing guests with local tourism information and arranging tours and transportation, including whale watching, dolphin swimming, albatross tours, seal colony visits, local activities, and acting as a booking agent for Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries
Requirements:

At least three years of relevant experience in motel, hotel, or holiday park management, or a relevant Level 4 qualification preferred

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and provide reference checks from previous employers
