Kiara &Virat 2022Enterprises Limited, trading as Sorrento Italian Restaurant & Bar, is
seeking a Restaurant Manager to join their team in TaupÅ, Waikato Region. The ideal
candidate will be a dedicated professional with strong leadership and communication skills,
responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards
of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the chef and kitchen staff to plan menus and set pricing based on
cost analysis, market trends, and profitability. - Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate new and existing staff, providing timely
feedback on performance. - Plan, organise, and manage special functions and private dining events.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets, analyse sales performance, labour costs, and
profit margins, and implement strategies to improve financial outcomes. - Handle customer complaints promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction and maintain
positive relationships with customers and staff. - Welcome customers, manage table reservations, and assist with order-taking when
required. - Prepare and manage staff rosters, allocate duties, and adjust staffing levels in line
with operational requirements and business demands. - Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure efficient workflow, service
quality, and smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams. - Monitor stock levels, coordinate purchasing and supplier orders, and maintain
accurate inventory and stock control records. - Monitor cost of goods sold and implement adjustments to reduce waste and improve
profitability. - Manage cash flow, track sales versus costs, and report financial performance.
- Process and analyze operational information to support scheduling, budgeting, and
decision-making. - Maintain accurate records relating to inventory, health and safety practices, staff
compliance, and operational procedures. - Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall
appearance throughout the restaurant premises. - Inspect food deliveries, equipment, and storage to maintain food safety standards.
- Ensure full compliance with health, hygiene, food safety and workplace health &
safety regulations at all times.
You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30
and $35 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
Other Important Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience or a relevant Level 5/above
qualification. - Availability to work on weekends and late shifts as required.
