We welcome interest from Orthopaedic Consultants with spinal orthopaedic experience to join our team. The successful candidate would need to have a keen interest in spine trauma as well as elective spine procedures to meet the departments current needs
To join our team as an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon you need to be a highly qualified, vocationally registered orthopaedic surgeon with specialized, fellowship-level training in spinal surgery. Previous experience in adult degenerative, deformity, metastatic disease and primary tumour procedures is preferred.
As an orthopaedic surgeon you will be highly regarded for your expertise in handling complex, high-volume cases, utilizing advanced technology, and leading sub-specialty care in New Zealand.
The role includes supervision of acute operating lists both spinal and general orthopaedic; leading ward rounds, clinics, elective operating (particularly spines), on call duties within the SMO team and involvement in audit; teaching, undertaking research and participating in continuing professional development.
