We are seeking a motivated and reliable Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy store in Avondale, Auckland. This role is responsible for managing store operations, supervising staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
The Store Manager will organise and control the daily operations of the store and ensure efficient business performance. Duties include:
- Organising, directing, and controlling the overall operations of the store to ensure efficient performance and service delivery
- Determining product mix, stock levels, and purchasing requirements in line with business needs and sales trends
- Managing inventory procurement and maintaining effective supplier relationships
- Implementing and monitoring pricing strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising to drive revenue growth
- Analysing sales and financial performance and implementing strategies to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Maintaining records of stock levels, financial transactions, and store performance
- Managing recruitment, training, supervision, and rostering of staff, including performance management
- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet operational and customer service/experience requirements
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and resolving customer issues independently
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, health and safety requirements, and employment legislation
- Implementing company policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards
- Planning and coordinating local marketing and promotional activities to support business growth
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:
Applicants will need to meet one of the following requirements:
- A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or higher in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field
OR
- At least three years of relevant retail, hospitality, or store management experience
Additional requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage overall store operations independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rostered shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- The ability to work in a fast-paced retail and food service environment
- The successful applicant may be required to undergo a drug test and police check.
Experience in the pizza or quick-service food industry will be an advantage.
