A Store Manager and 2 Retail Assistants required

A STORE MANAGER & 2X RETAIL ASSISTANTS required at Strathmore Mini Mart Limited

Location: Strathmore, Wellington, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 30 hours and maximum 35 hours per week

We are seeking motivated and reliable staff to join our busy dairy store in Strathmore, Wellington for the following positions:

Store Manager
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
•⁠  ⁠Managing daily store operations
•⁠  ⁠Hiring, training, and supervising staff and preparing work schedules
•⁠  ⁠Managing Budgets and Financial Decisions, including monitoring stock levels and ordering inventory.
•⁠  ⁠Ensuring excellent customer service
•⁠  ⁠Handling cash management and store reporting
•⁠  ⁠Maintaining health, safety, and food hygiene standards
•⁠  ⁠Managing supplier relationships and promotional displays

Requirements:
•⁠  ⁠At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a retail/management/supervisory role, or a Tertiary qualification at level 4 or above is required 
•⁠  ⁠Strong communication and leadership skills
•⁠  ⁠Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

Retail Assistant
Pay Rate: $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
•⁠  ⁠Serving customers and processing sales transactions
•⁠  ⁠Replenishing shelves and maintaining store presentation
•⁠  ⁠Assisting with stock handling and inventory checks
•⁠  ⁠Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
•⁠  ⁠Providing friendly and efficient customer service

Requirements:
•⁠  ⁠Previous retail or customer service experience (6 months to one year) preferred but not essential. No qualification is required.

Must be over 18 as we sell Alcohol and have the ability to gain an LCQ, if you don't have one already. 
•⁠  ⁠Good communication and interpersonal skills
•⁠  ⁠Honest, reliable, and hardworking
•⁠  ⁠Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Minimum and maximum hours available are 30 per week.
