Rightmove Recruitment NZ Ltd is seeking an Administrator with Health and Safety knowledge to join our engineering client’s team in Christchurch. This is a full-time position, with a near 50/50 split on General Admin duties and Health and Safety.
What you'll be doing
- General Administration Duties including but not limited to - Accounts, sales, inventory, record keeping, stock ordering, customer service via email or phone.
- Manage and maintain the company's health and safety policies, procedures and documentation
- Coordinate and record health and safety training for all staff
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments
- Investigate and document any incidents or accidents, and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with external health and safety authorities and service providers
- Relevant experience in an administration role, preferably from a Manufacturing or mechanical based environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Level 3 Health and Safety Qualification or Higher is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organisation
- Proficient in using health and safety management software and other computer systems.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organisation skills
