About the Role - Kitchen assistant

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fast food items in a fast paced environment. 

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fast food items 
  • Train kitchen staff
  • Introduce new items to the menu
  • Stock taking, stock ordering and reduce wastage
  • Cost control
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens
  • Maintain a clean kitchen area and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Provide exceptional service to customers with attention to detail

Experience and Attributes Required

●      At least two years of relevant experience is required

●      Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and public holidays

●      The ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure;

●      High-energy individual with the ability to cope well in a very fast paced environment.

Hourly rate starts from $28 for full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed.

Kitchen assistant

As a kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for assistaing with all tasks undertaken in the kitchen. Your role will include working with the kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring food safety standards are met.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation
  • Clean cooking utensils and equipment
  • Plating and serving food
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens
  • Maintain a clean kitchen area and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Provide exceptional service to customers with attention to detail

Experience and Attributes Required

●      An experience of 6 months to 1 year is preferred

●      Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and public holidays

●      The ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure;

●      High-energy individual with the ability to cope well in a very fast paced environment.

Hourly rate starts from $25 for full-time, permanent roles with a minimum of 35 hours guaranteed.
