Wayne Massage and Acupuncture is located in Auckland City Centre. We can provide Chinese acupuncture and Massage (Tui-Na) Services. We now need two Massage Therapist. This is a full-time position with at least 30 hours work per week.

 

This role requires the following tasks

 

l  massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing

l  utilizing a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury

l  administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension

l  assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice

l  employing other Massage techniques , and complementary aids, such as infra- red lamps, wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal and mineral therapies, to assist recovery

l  assessing client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques

 

Requirement for this role include:

·      At least two years relevant work experience

·      Level 5 Diploma or above qualification in relation to massage, traditional Chinese Medicine, or similar

·      Have good understanding of body channel system and acupoint, and

·      Have good interpersonal and communication skills, and

·      Have can-do attitude and diligent character
