We are seeking a reliable and motivated Duty Manager to oversee the daily operation of King Street Sports Bar.

This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with all licensing, health, and safety requirements.

You will be a key support to the business, ensuring smooth operation during your shift and stepping into full management responsibility when required.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

In general, a Duty Manager's duties include but are not limited to:

·         Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures

·         Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and responsible service of alcohol at all times

·         Supervise staff, assign duties, and ensure team members are trained and performing effectively

·         Assist with rostering, shift planning, and staff coordination

·         Support menu planning, promotions, and special events to drive customer engagement

·         Manage reservations, greet customers, and assist with order taking and service when required

·         Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve complaints or issues promptly

·         Ensure customers are served efficiently and have a positive experience

·         Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and maintain inventory records

·         Handle cash, EFTPOS transactions, and follow company financial procedures

·         Support financial processes, including daily reconciliations and record keeping

·         Maintain accurate business records and documentation as required

·         Enforce company policies, licensing requirements, and operational procedures

·         Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the premises, including bar and equipment

·         Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards are met

·         Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and local council where required for compliance and approvals

·         Assist in organising and running promotions, functions, and marketing activities

·         Work independently during shifts and carry out full managerial duties when needed

·         During your shift able to do all the tasks of Manager.

·           Hourly wage rate: $26 to $29

 

Requirements of the position:

·         Relevant supervisory work experience of 1 year or any relevant level 4 / higher qualification certificate

·         Advantage to have work experience in any sector

·         Able to work late in the evening and do the closing of the business

·         Willing to work in the kitchen as and when required and support the kitchen staff

·         Able to work weekends, public holidays and split shifts

·         Able to work independently.

·         A passion for hospitality and a willingness to contribute to the team’s success.

·         Willing to secure LCQ and Manager’s Certificate upon joining the position.
