Cafe Manager

We are seeking l full-time cafe manager to join our  progressive team in Wellington City. We are now looking for 1 ideal candidate to contribute to our dynamic environment, with the following attributes:

To be successful for this role, you need: 

• 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above management or business related qualification.
•  Must be available to work weekdays and weekend shifts.
•  Adaptable to change and able to multitask. 
• Experience working with Eurasian cuisine would be an advantage. 
• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene. 
• Reliable, organized, creative and cool under pressure 
• Able to work efficiently in a team environment 

Key tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.
2. Planning and organising special functions.
3. Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget.
4. Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
5. Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional
and of suitable appearance.
6. Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
7. Selecting, training and supervising waiting staff.
8. Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
9. Analyzing monthly cafe sales performance, and write monthly report to owner.
10. Marketing and management strategies for the betterment of the organization.

• Minimum of 40 hours and maximum of 50 hours a week.
