Key responsibilities:
- Provide quality clinical services
- As a clinical expert, you will ensure that the appropriate and current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the area of psychiatry, are applied to clinical situations and team decision making
- Participate in clinical partnership to ensure that the patient and their family members receive integrated, appropriate, effective, and efficient assessment and care
About the Team/Service
The Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of this organisation supports people with moderate to severe mental illness who have had contact with the justice system across New Zealand
They provide secure inpatient care, acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation, and transition wards and community services to courts and prisons
They work closely with Adult Services to ensure smooth transitions between inpatient and community settings.
About You
Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
- A Psychiatrist who is vocationally registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- A versatile and flexible clinician who has a passion for working as part of a team
- A person who is excited about and willing to contribute participate in service enhancement
- A clinician who is passionate about eliminating health inequities
