We are an established Vietnamese cuisine business based in Auckland, committed to providing authentic Vietnamese food and excellent customer service. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our operations and support the ongoing development of the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversea and manage the daily operations of the business.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and business performance.
• Manage budgeting, financial planning, cost control, and business reporting.
• Lead recruitment, staff training, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase customer engagement and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with employment, health and safety, food safety, and other relevant regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor business performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Assist with workforce planning and recruitment activities, including verification of candidates’ qualifications and employment histories where required.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations to business owners.
Skills and Experience Required
• Minimum five years’ experience in a senior management or General Manager position.
• Demonstrated experience within the hospitality, restaurant, or food service industry.
• Strong leadership, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in financial management, staff management, and business development.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage business operations.
Qualifications
• NZQA Level 7 qualification or higher in Business, Management, Hospitality Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Preferred Attributes
• Understanding of Vietnamese cuisine and hospitality operations.
• Vietnamese language skills and knowledge of Vietnamese culture would be advantageous due to the nature of the business and communication requirements with staff and suppliers.
