Cook
Our client is looking for experienced Cooks (multiple positions) to join our busy team in Auckland.
Some of the tasks related to this role would be:
- Inspect food ingredients to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitor and control the temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and guidelines.
- Season and adjust flavours during the cooking process.
- Portion meals, plate dishes attractively, and add sauces or garnishes as required.
- Store food safely in temperature-controlled areas in line with food safety standards.
- Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Assist with menu planning and estimate ingredient quantities when needed.
- Support and train kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
Offered wage rate: $28 - $35 per hour (based on experience)
Employment is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Working on weekends and be available on-calls are required for this position.
You should have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience or a relevant qualification (NZ Level 4 or higher).
Candidates must be able to provide a verifiable prior employment reference with an updated CV.
All suitable candidates should be able to pass a drug test and a Ministry of Justice check when required.
