We are looking for a hardworking candidate for the role of Duty Manager in Wellington. It is a full-time permanent role with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours of work per week. This role will ensure that service standards are maintained, staff are supported and supervised, and customer experiences are consistently excellent. The Duty Manager will work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations
The candidate must be able to work but not limited to:
- Coordinate and oversee daily restaurant operations, including assisting with menu planning in consultation with chefs.
- Organize and supervise special events and functions to ensure they run smoothly and meet quality standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering goods to support operational needs while working within allocated budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of stock usage, financial transactions, and shift activities.
- Ensure dining areas and service stations are clean, functional, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Interact with guests to gauge satisfaction, resolve minor issues, and ensure a high-quality dining experience.
- Supervise, train, and support waiting and kitchen staff during shifts, promoting teamwork and operational efficiency.
- Assist with reservations, guest greetings, and order management when necessary.
- · Take responsibility for operational decisions during shifts, reporting key issues to the Restaurant Manager.
Required skills:
- Excelent communication skils, both verbal and written

- Minimum Level 5 qualification OR two years of relevant work experience
