We are looking for a Retail Manager to join our team. We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused individual to become part of our dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people, and be willing to learn new skills. You should be a team player who can work hard while maintaining a supportive and enjoyable work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties:
- Ensure customer service is delivered promptly and professionally, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure products and services are consistently available and of high quality.
- Manage purchasing activities, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives to support business objectives.
- Promote and advertise the goods and services offered by the business.
- Assist and advise customers regarding products, services, and menu offerings while driving sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales performance, and financial transactions.
- Identify business improvement opportunities and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring team members perform their duties effectively and professionally.
- Develop staff schedules and oversee day-to-day workforce management.
- Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety requirements and food safety standards.
- Establish, implement, and enforce workplace safety and security procedures.
- Monitor store presentation, cleanliness, and operational efficiency to maintain a positive customer experience.
Skills and Experience Required
You will bring:
- Must hold a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience OR a minimum Level 5 qualification.
- Strong customer service and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and well-organised workplace.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.

It’s a full-time permanent role, with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Applicants for this position should be New Zealand Citizens, Residents, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
