Barista

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Barista to join our team in a full-time, permanent position in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. 

This position is a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, with shifts rostered between 06:30 am and 06:00 pm, Monday to Sunday. We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $30.00, based on experience and skills.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and serving a range of coffees and other hot and cold beverages.
• Operating and maintaining coffee machines and related equipment.
• Grinding and blending coffee beans to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer enquiries.
• Taking orders and processing payments.
• Assisting with food presentation and service as required.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café.
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock rotation.
• Complying with food safety and health and safety requirements.

 Job requirements:

·         Proven experience in a similar role for at least 2 years or more

·         Sound knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and café operations.

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills.

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
