Downtown Rotorua Enterprises Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Accommodation Manager to oversee the daily operations of our accommodation facility in Rotorua. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service. You are required to work from Monday to Friday with minimum 30 hours and maximum 45 hours. You may be required to work on weekends or public holidays.

Job Duties

·        Planning, development and coordinate the smooth scheduling of the processes to provide services, set and maintain services standards.

·        Allocating duties to commercial housekeepers and organizing laundry services

·        Assist with marketing initiatives, online booking platforms, and promotional activities.

·        Check stocks to determine inventory levels to prepare and review Kitchen/ accommodation, organize stock level and other supplies and price negotiate the with the suppliers.

·        Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to enquiries, feedback, and complaints.

·        Liaise with the accountant for the preparation of budgets, payroll and reports for financial reporting purposes.

·        Keep up to date with current pricing to provide information to guests

·        To check all targets, delivery dates and objectives of the company in terms of providing quality products and services for the company’s clients.

·        Lead the team of the company and ensure company standards are maintained.

·        Maintain Motel efficiently by planning and implementing office systems, layouts and equipment procurement.

·        Prepare and introduce an on-going calendar of cost-effective promotional initiatives.

 Job Requirements

You should have at least 2 years of Work experience in relevant field or Level 4 or higher qualification in any area.

 Strong leadership and staff management skills

 Must hold a valid Manager’s certificate

Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Experience with booking and reservation systems.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

 Knowledge of health and safety requirements within the hospitality industry.

Must pass pre-employment drug test/ alcohol test and must comply with all the times at the workplace

A positive attitude and a great work ethic

Salary can be negotiated as per your experience level between $30 to $35 per hour.
