We are seeking an experienced Contractor Compliance Coordinator to support a busy engineering and maintenance team within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating contractor activities, managing permit-to-work processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate contractor inductions and site access.
- Assess risks and issue permits to work for contractor activities.
- Conduct permit inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Maintain contractor records, training, and permitting documentation.
- Support maintenance activities, high-risk work, and capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand health and safety legislation and site procedures.
About You
- Experience in contractor management, permitting, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand Health & Safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and contractor/compliance management systems.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or other regulated environments is advantageous.
- Exposure to quality systems (GMP, GLP, ISO) and project coordination experience would be beneficial.
