Restaurant Manager wanted 

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join us. This is a fulltime role with a minimum 30 hours per week.

Main Purpose

To manage the overall business and operational performance of the restaurant, ensuring high-quality dining services, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and profitable performance

  • Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and control operational costs

  • Plan menus in consultation with kitchen staff to optimise profitability and customer satisfaction

  • Coordinate purchasing, negotiate with suppliers, and manage inventory control

  • Plan and organise special functions and promotional events

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

  • Analyse sales data and implement strategies to improve revenue

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff

  • Maintain high customer service standards and respond to customer feedback

  • Develop and implement operational procedures and policies

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • At least 2 year of relevant work experience, OR an equivalent NZ Level 5 or above, OR a Bachelor's qualification in any discipline.

  • Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with other team members.
