Baker

The Bakehouse Cafe & Roasts is seeking a full-time Baker to join our progressive team in Upper Hutt. We are open from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Tuesday to Sunday, and are looking for an ideal candidate to contribute to our dynamic environment.

To be successful for this role, you need:

• 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification or a Bachelor qualification in any field.
• Must be able to work on weekends and early morning shift.
• Must be flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts and be able to manage two shifts ina day.
• Full commitment is required.
• Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Be reliable, responsible, and good at time management.
• Be able to pass a police check.

Job Responsibilities:

• Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients.
• Performing routine tasks, including making and baking (quiches, savouries, muffins, pies, sausagerolls &cakes).
• Completing daily production tasks and entering production information into the managementrecording sheet if required.
• Preparing products according to specific recipes to maintain consistency of production.
• Checking the production schedule to determine the variety and quantity of goods to bake.
• Taking responsibility for delivering the highest measurements of baking production andrepresenting customers to achieve the best satisfaction.
• Monitoring oven temperatures and baking products under the correct baking time.
• Correctly using equipment and maintaining a clean and safe production area.
• Adhering and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations in the bakery.
• Assisting with all other duties that form part of the bakery operation.
