We are a well established cafe and restaurant located in Ellerslie, Auckland, where locals gather to dine, drink and socialise. Our chef-driven menu is built around fresh, seasonal ingredients, and we are known for our brunch, our beverages and our desserts. We are looking for an experienced Cafe/Restaurant Manager to lead the day to day running of the business and our front of house and kitchen teams.
Job Description
This role will include, but not be limited to:

Planning menus in consultation with chefs

Planning and organising special functions and catering

Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget

Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions

Ensuring dining facilities comply with health and food safety regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance

Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service

Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff

Taking reservations, greeting guests and overseeing the taking of orders

Setting staff rosters and managing daily opening and closing of the premises

Hours per week: minimum 30 hours, maximum 55 hours per week, must be available over weekends
The successful applicant must have:
-
At least SIX years or above of management experience as a Cafe/Restaurant Manager

Proven experience leading and supervising a team

Experience managing budgets, purchasing, stock and financial records

Knowledge of coffee, food and beverage service (an advantage)

Good communication and customer service skills
