Black Antler Eatery, Browns Bay, Auckland is looking reliable and flexible Restaurant Managers to join our team. We have multiple permanent full-time positions available with flexible rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday.
We are offering suitable candidates $26.00 - $40.00 per hour, with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
Duties include:
- Planning menus in consultation with Chefs and kitchen staff.
- Planning, organising, and coordinating special functions and events.
- Managing the purchasing, pricing, and inventory of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies.
- Maintaining records of stock levels, financial transactions, and operational performance.
- Ensuring the restaurant complies with all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing requirements.
- Monitoring the quality of food and customer service to maintain high standards.
- Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and resolving customer concerns.
- Recruiting, training, supervising, and rostering front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- Managing staff performance and fostering a positive team culture.
- Greeting guests, managing reservations, and assisting with customer service when required.
- Monitoring labour costs and assisting with budgeting and cost control.
- Ensuring efficient day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
To be considered, you must:
- Hold a relevant NZQF qualification (Level 4 or higher) or equivalent overseas qualification, or
- Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Have strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Have a positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility.
