We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our café, located alongside our popular Greek-Italian restaurant on Auckland's North Shore.
This is a hands-on role for an all-rounder who enjoys working across customer service, food preparation, café operations, retail, and administration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily operation of the café
- Preparing crepes and other café menu items
- Making high-quality coffee and beverages
- Providing excellent customer service
- Retail sales and point-of-sale operation
- Ordering supplies and managing stock levels
- Administrative duties and record keeping
- Assisting with food service when required
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Previous experience in a hospitality or retail role
- Strong barista skills
- Experience with stock control and ordering
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead by example
- A flexible and positive attitude
Pay rate: $28.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Hours of work: Full-time, minimum 40 hours between Tuesday to Sunday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with additional evening work as required.
