The Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations. The role includes menu planning, stock management, supervising kitchen activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and working efficiently as part of a team. Weekend, public holiday, and late evening work may be required.

Position: Chef (2 Positions)
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour Hours/Week: 30 to 40 hours (includes weekend work and late evening hours)
As a Chef, you will be required to cook Indian dishes with taste and quality.
Your job duties will be as follows:
1. Prepare authentic Indian curries and tandoor dishes.
2. Plan menus that meet quality standards for Indian food.
3. Order stock and check goods on arrival.
4. Maintain a high level of hygiene by keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
5. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes and check them before they are served.
6. Ensure all kitchen equipment is in proper working condition.
7. Train other kitchen staff when required.
8. Maintain a good working relationship with all staff members.
9. Complete other kitchen duties as required.
10. Ensure the quality of dishes at every stage of preparation and presentation.
11. Follow all health and safety guidelines.
Job Requirements:
1. Have a relevant qualification or at least 6 months of experience.
2. Have good knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and food preparation.
3. Be physically fit.
4. Be able to work well in a team and under pressure.
5. Be familiar with health and safety regulations.
