NPT LIMITED, trading as Sunflower Thai Vegan Restaurant, is located in Auckland Central, Auckland. We specialise in authentic Thai vegan cuisine. We are committed to delivering excellent food and customer service in a welcoming dining environment. We are now seeking a Cook to join our team to help maintain our high standards of food quality and service. This is a full-time position with guaranteed minimum hours of 30 hours per week.

The job involves the following tasks and duties:

· Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant

· Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary

· Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation

· Assisting in improving dishes

· Assisting in managing the overall operation of the kitchen

· Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks

· Ensuring the kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.

 

To qualify for the job:

· At least two years of relevant work experience in the kitchen.

· At least a level 4 cookery certificate, or a Bachelor’s Degree in any major, may replace the work experience requirement.

· Be familiar with Thai Food.

· You may be required to work during the weekend.

· Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.

· You should also have good attention to detail to ensure everything that goes through your hands are thoroughly clean.
