Kitchen Hand Team Member
 
Location: Pizza Hut Hastings East
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $23.95 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
 
 
About the Role:
We are looking for energetic, reliable, and food-loving team members to join the Pizza Hut whānau in Hastings! As a Kitchen Team Member, you will be at the heart of the action, crafting our world-famous pizzas. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well in a team, and have a passion for food quality, we want to hear from you!
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pizza Creation: Preparing and stretching dough, and portioning ingredients to build perfect pizzas.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring ovens and completing quality checks to ensure hot, delicious food goes out to our customers.
  • Hygiene Standards: Following strict food safety, kitchen hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Station Management: Restocking prep stations and keeping the kitchen clean and spotless.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Assisting front-of-house or packing orders when needed.
 
Skills & Requirements:
  • Experience: Must have two years of relevant experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or Pizza Store.
  • Attitude: A positive, "can-do" attitude with sharp attention to detail.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and thrive under pressure during peak rush hours.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.
