Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a range of Turkish dishes, including kebabs, grilled meats, rice dishes, wraps, burgers, and side dishes
- Marinate, season, and prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Operate grills, kebab rotisserie machines, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
- Prepare fresh salads, sauces, and accompaniments according to established recipes.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and assist with ordering ingredients.
- Store food safely and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
- Assist with menu development and preparation of daily specials where required.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods and collaborate effectively with other team members.
Requirements
- NZQF Level 4 qualification in Cookery or
- At least three years of relevant work experience
What We Offer
- Full-time, permanent employment with 30-40 hours at the rate of $30-$40 depending on your skills
