FIREFLY RESTAURANT LIMITED T/A Little Turkish Kebab is looking for an experienced and motivated 2 Cook to join our team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about preparing high-quality Turkish cuisine and maintaining excellent food safety and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a range of Turkish dishes, including kebabs, grilled meats, rice dishes, wraps, burgers, and side dishes
  • Marinate, season, and prepare meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.
  • Operate grills, kebab rotisserie machines, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare fresh salads, sauces, and accompaniments according to established recipes.
  • Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure consistency.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and assist with ordering ingredients.
  • Store food safely and minimise food wastage.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times.
  • Assist with menu development and preparation of daily specials where required.
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods and collaborate effectively with other team members.

Requirements

  • NZQF Level 4 qualification in Cookery or
  • At least three years of relevant work experience 

What We Offer

  • Full-time, permanent employment with 30-40 hours at the rate of $30-$40 depending on your skills
