Anita MP Enterpises trading as Pita Pit is a fast-paced, fresh-food quick-service brand serving made-to-order pitas, salads and bowls. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Assistant/ Retail Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the activities of our front-line retail and service team, keep the store running smoothly across a shift, and deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.

This is a genuine full-time, permanent supervisory position. You will be responsible for leading the team on the floor, opening and closing the store, managing stock, and making sure every customer receives prompt service and a quality product.

As Retail/Assistant Supervisor you will oversee and coordinate the work of our front-line team and keep the store running smoothly across your shift. Your day-to-day duties will include:

    Leading the shift so customers are served quickly and every order is prepared to Pita Pit’s freshness, portioning and presentation standards.

    Being the first point of contact for customer questions, dietary and allergen requests, order mix-ups and complaints, and putting things right at the counter within store policy.

    Building and adjusting team rosters around trade patterns, and allocating staff to stations each shift — front counter, food prep, hot line and cleaning.

    Helping to recruit and interview new team members, inducting and coaching them, reviewing their performance, supporting promotions, taking part in disciplinary or exit processes where needed, and settling everyday team concerns.

    Guiding staff through trickier or non-standard transactions such as catering and bulk orders, promotions, loyalty offers, refunds and till corrections.

    Assessing returned orders and any rejected or below-standard stock, deciding whether to remake, discard, credit or send it back, and recording wastage.

    Counting stock, tracking levels against par, ordering from approved suppliers, and checking and rotating deliveries to keep waste and shortages down.

    Keeping menu boards, in-store signage and till pricing accurate and up to date, and setting up product displays to brand standard.

    Upholding food-safety, hygiene and health-and-safety standards (including the store’s Food Control Plan), securing the store at open and close, and handling cash and till reconciliation.

Minimum skills, qualifications and experience required

    A relevant qualification OR relevant work experience of two years

    Sound customer-service skills and the ability to resolve complaints calmly and professionally.

    Ability to prepare rosters, assign duties and lead a small team through busy periods.

    Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills, including till operation, reconciliation and stock ordering.

    Good spoken and written English and effective communication skills.

    Knowledge of, or willingness to be trained in, food-safety and hygiene requirements (Food Control Plan).

    Available to work a rotating 6-day roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
