You will be:

  • PGY2 / PGY3 or equivalent
  • Interested in broadening your clinical exposure
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand

These positions are based in stunning locations in the North and the South Islands

Both locations are well known for their outdoor recreational opportunities including tramping, cycling, mountain biking, as well as river and water sports - boating and kayaking. The locations are also close to a coast line that offers lots of sun, good surf, boating, fishing and deep see diving.

About you

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at mcnz.org.nz
  • A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience and want to gain further experience or advance a career in any of the above mentioned specialties

If you are an overseas doctor,  please visit the Medical Council of New Zealand website to ensure that your qualifications meet their criteria for registration to practice medicine in New Zealand (www.mcnz.org.nz/get-registered/registration-self-assessment-tool/)

You will need to complete the 6 questions to ascertain whether or not you are eligible for registration in NZ

It is requirement of the Medical Council NZ that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
