Domestic Cleaner

Purpose of the Role

To maintain clean, hygienic, safe, and well-presented staff accommodation and surrounding outdoor areas, ensuring employees have a comfortable living environment that reflects the high standards of our client while supporting the company's commitment to staff wellbeing.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be physically fit and capable of undertaking repetitive cleaning and light gardeningtasks.
• Valid full driver's licence is preferred due to travel between farm properties.

Working Conditions

• Work is carried out across multiple staff houses owned
• Travel between farm properties may be required during the working day.
• All cleaning equipment, gardening tools, personal protective equipment, and required supplies will be provided by the employer.

Experience and Qualifications

• No formal qualification is required. Previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning, housekeeping, property maintenance, or grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Domestic Cleaning

• Clean staff houses to a consistently high standard.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish all floor surfaces.
• Dust and wipe furniture, skirting boards, window sills, doors, light fittings, and other
  household surfaces.
• Clean and sanitise kitchens, including benches, cupboards, sinks, splashbacks,
  ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, and other appliances.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, showers, baths, mirrors, basins, and tiled
  surfaces.
• Clean internal windows, mirrors, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.
• Empty rubbish and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Wash, dry, fold, and store linen and towels as required
• Prepare bedrooms for incoming occupants where required.
• Replenish household consumables and cleaning products.
• Ensure accommodation is fully cleaned and presented before new employees move
  into the property.

Garden and Outdoor Maintenance

• Mow lawns surrounding staff accommodation.
• Weed gardens, flower beds, pathways, and outdoor living areas.
• Trim hedges, shrubs, and small plants to maintain a neat appearance.
• Water lawns, gardens, and pot plants when required.
• Sweep patios, decks, entrances, paths, and outdoor common areas.
• Remove leaves, branches, rubbish, and other garden debris.
• Keep outdoor furniture and recreational areas clean and tidy.
• Ensure the exterior of staff accommodation is well presented and maintained.

General Responsibilities

•  Monitor and maintain stocks of cleaning products and household supplies.
• Safely use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, or repairs
  required within staff accommodation or surrounding grounds.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of
  cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Travel between farm properties as required to maintain multiple staff houses.
• Carry out all duties professionally while respecting the privacy and belongings of staff
  residing in the accommodation.
