Bar Manager Needed

We are looking for 1x Bar Manager, to assist with our business here in Christchurch, New Zealand. This is a fulltime role, and we offer a minimum of 30 hours per week. We offer a competitve salary from $25 to $35 based upon experience. You will be tasked with the general management of the bar and restaurant, including managing staff levels, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and maintaining health and safety standards.

You will be required to complete the following tasks:

  • Oversee the daily operations and long term planning of the restaurant and bar
  • Drive a customer-first culture ,ensuring every guest reveives exceptional service. 
  • Plan and execute mareketing initiatives ,including promotions and events
  • Negotiate with suppliers ,manage stock levels and monitor ordering systems
  • Control costs ,reduce wastage and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters ,handle communications and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
  • controlling selection, training and supervision of staff, in accordance with health requriements and liquor rules.
  • Ensure compliance with all health ,hygiene ,safety and liquor licence regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation ,including council compliance records and the complaint register ,with appropraite follow-up actions

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Must hold a NZQF diploma (Level 4) or higher, in a relevant field (such as in hospitality or management), or be able to demonstrate at least two years of experience in hospitality or relavant.
  • You should hold an LCQ qualification, or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Should have a can do attitude, and the ability to take initaive and solve problems.
