Restaurant Manager

Amazing Thai Rotorua is a popular local restaurant offering authentic Thai food in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to lead our small team and support the continued success of our business.

Responsibilities:

•           Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
•           Work with the Chef to plan and update the menu, taking into account customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
•           Keep accurate records of stock, sales, and daily business transactions
•           Arrange the purchasing, pricing, and stock control of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies
•           Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and meets all food safety and health and safety requirements.
•           Monitor customer satisfaction, respond to feedback, and resolve customer enquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
•           Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff members
•           Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties, and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations.
•           Welcome guests, manage reservations, and assist with customer service.
•           Monitor business performance and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.
•           Promote the restaurant through local marketing initiatives and community engagement to attract new and returning customers.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2 years' experience in a leadership role within a restaurant, or hold a diploma or higher qualification in hospitality management. You should also have strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills. The successful applicant must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
